JOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Product Manager of Marketing, Customer Data Platforms, and Rewards/Loyalty initiatives is a senior-level role responsible for bringing a deep understanding of product management principles to the organization and combining that with strategic thinking to ensure products meet the needs and expectations of the business. You will be responsible for the management of the roadmap that covers the initiatives across all of Upbound’s marketing and customer data platform growth and expansion, including Rent-a-Center and Acima. Your primary responsibility is to define and manage the overall roadmap for marketing technology investments. Fostering a culture of continuous understanding, learning, and improving the customer experience is a key to success metric for this role.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate a cohesive product strategy that aligns with Upbound’s overarching goals, focusing on marketing technology, CDP, and rewards/loyalty systems.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Define and manage a comprehensive product roadmap that encompasses marketing technology investments, CDP enhancements, and rewards/loyalty program innovations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the nexus between marketing, engineering, data science, UX/UI, and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration and execution of product initiatives.
  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Leverage data insights to design and implement personalized marketing strategies and loyalty programs that resonate with diverse customer segments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of experimentation and optimization, utilizing A/B testing and customer feedback to refine product offerings and enhance user experiences.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Articulate product vision, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management, with a proven track record in marketing technology, CDP, and rewards/loyalty systems.
  • Personalization Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing personalized customer experiences across digital platforms, leveraging customer data to drive engagement and loyalty. Familiarity with personalization management systems, A/B testing, and recommendation algorithms is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms such as Zeta Global (CDP), Salesforce Loyalty Management, and Google Vertex AI; experience with data analytics tools and marketing automation platforms.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make informed decisions that drive product success.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
