JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the analysis, design, architecture, and leadership for all of the activities relating to the development and support of data interfacing, data procurement and data integrity associated with reporting, analytics and enterprise data stores. Work closely with business areas and IT, as well as various vendors and technology suppliers to insure that data is appropriately and securely transformed and shared between applications, and to insure that integration and integrity are achieved. Coordinate the activities of all assigned data warehouse and integration areas and will be certain that policies, procedures and standards are followed with emphasis on support for data integration/integrity and data/event mapping practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision
- Responsible for identifying process improvements related to the movement of data throughout the enterprise
- Responsible for all data movement into, within, and out of the data warehouse, data marts, data stores and reporting cubes
- Responsible for data quality of all data and products associated with the data warehouse, data marts, data stores and reporting cubes
- Build and manage high performance development and analysis teams
- Act as a resource to team members, participate in team and professional meetings and provide input as to needs of business partners
- Meet needs of a diverse staff by promoting and providing a satisfying work environment.
- Stays current with industry trends and advancements in data architecture and management.
Technical
- Ensure all aspects of operability are delivered as part of the implementation process
- Ensure existing service levels are maintained or improved with full compliance to operational standards, procedures and best practices
- Schedule and coordinate with production control necessary production changes such as new applications, software upgrades, roll out of bug fixes, etc…
- Participate in review and design of new applications, bug fixes, and capabilities
- Provide documentation to support causes of service incident and problem resolution efforts to maintain entrusted applications/products
- Collaborate with development and reporting teams on systems/application design enhancements and systems/application serviceability
- Assure compatibility of components and operating characteristics of subsystems or multi-product environment to ensure effective operation
- Ensure compliance with established design, testing and documentation standards and practices which are applicable to the project/product/data and are current within the department
- Create and maintain software, data integration and environmental context documentation on all EIM systems
- Work with 3rd party technology companies as needed to implement technology solutions
- Recommend and maintain company application integration standards
- Configuration management of source code and control of released versions, and documentation
- Prior experience Erwin or any data modeling tool.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, system analysis, business, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in the support of data warehouses and interface/integration engines
- At least three years of experience managing technical teams across global organizations required.
- Thorough knowledge of integration methods such as: file transfer, shared database, remote procedure invocation, and messaging
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in ETL development, testing, integration, and monitoring
- Working knowledge of development technologies in deploying and supporting web-based and n-tier applications
- Very strong understanding of database concepts
- Professional development experience.
