Summer Intern Program
Upbound Group’s 2025 Summer Intern Program offers an immersive professional development experience that goes beyond traditional internships, providing participants with a comprehensive opportunity to grow both personally and professionally through dynamic networking events, engaging volunteer activities, and exclusive executive leadership speaker sessions. Interns can anticipate a robust learning environment that balances structured training modules with self-paced learning pathways, enabling them to explore their potential, develop critical skills, and gain meaningful insights into corporate culture.
Program Dates
The ten-week program will run from June 2 through August 8, 2025, and is an in-office experience at our company headquarters in Plano, Texas.
The Role
The Real Estate Developer Intern reports to the Mikayla Renfroe and will gain exposure to key departmental projects, including construction planning and preparation, market research, lease analysis, lease administration systems, and various data analytics tasks.
Compensation
Summer Interns at Upbound Group are paid hourly in accordance with usual payroll procedures.
$20.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical and administrative projects related to the Upbound Group real estate strategy, along with annual construction and leasing plans
- Assist with mapping and data analysis, store location site reviews, store lease negotiation, construction management and store design, property management and lease administration
- Exposure to a broad variety of real estate functions within the team, with the opportunity to establish professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Pursuing a major related to Construction, Real Estate, Market Planning or GIS with a Retail/Real Estate focus with an expected graduation between May 2025 and December 2026
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in our home office in Plano, Texas Monday through Friday
