JOB SUMMARY
The Product Manager (PM) is a key individual contributor and strategic leader within the Product Development team, responsible for delivering a best-in-class Point of Sale (POS) experience. In this role, you will drive the vision and execution of a cloud-based POS solution that empowers our coworkers with seamless, scalable, and secure technology. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product vision, and customer-centric thinking to enhance the in-store experience and deliver measurable business impact.
As the primary owner of the POS product, the PM is accountable for defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery. This includes collaborating across the organization to ensure the POS platform meets evolving business needs, integrates seamlessly with supporting systems, and provides exceptional usability, performance, and compliance. This Product Manager role is an individual contributor position reporting to a Group Product Manager. The Product Manager works collaboratively across multiple teams but does not directly manage others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the SaaS-based POS platform, ensuring alignment with broader company goals and customer needs.
- Translate market trends, customer feedback, and business priorities into actionable requirements and product features, balancing customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and scale POS solutions on a cloud-based platform, ensuring integrations with third-party systems for a seamless end-to-end experience.
- Drive innovations to improve uptime, reliability, security, and performance of the POS platform.
- Gather customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and support channels to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage analytics to monitor platform performance, identify areas for optimization, and inform roadmap priorities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as PCI-DSS, working closely with legal and security teams to meet all regulatory and data security requirements.
- Partner with UX/UI teams to design, test, and refine user-friendly POS workflows.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and manage product backlogs to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of features.
- Communicate product updates, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Remove blockers, resolve conflicting priorities, and maintain delivery momentum across cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate and influence platform enhancements, vendor partnerships, and integrations to support POS platform scalability and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably in SaaS, retail technology, or POS systems.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling SaaS products with a focus on customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based systems and integrations (e.g., APIs, microservices architecture).
- Analytical and data-driven with a deep appreciation for testing, performance metrics, and user feedback.
- Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and improving customer experience.
- Passion for delivering elegant, customer-focused digital experiences at scale.
