JOB PURPOSE
The Principal of GTM Strategy & Operations drives sales strategy and execution across 1,600+ Rent-A-Center locations and multiple business lines. This role is built for someone who thrives on using technology & innovation to elevate co-worker enablement and proficiency. This includes transforming complex sales information into clear, actionable decisions by leveraging AI platforms and tools to build smarter workflows, coworker resources, and field-ready communications which are central to how the sales strategy organization moves faster, communicates better, and more scalable.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON

- Provide field facing, operational & leadership support
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Use AI tools (e.g. Claude, Co-Pilot, etc) to develop and use templatized resources to draft internal communications, job aids, training materials, and field-facing content – dramatically reducing turnaround time on recurring deliverables
Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards and Excel models that track sales performance, identify trends, and surface actionable insights across retail locations
Develop and manage a library of reusable templates and prompts that standardize how the team communicates and executes across the field network
Analyze sales data to identify performance gaps, opportunities, and emerging patterns at the location, region, and channel level
Partner with field operations, marketing, and cross-functional teams to translate data findings into clear, concise reporting and recommendations for leadership
Support the design and rollout of sales initiatives by creating scalable materials and process documentation
Monitor KPIs and proactively flag performance variances, using data storytelling to communicate urgency and next steps
Continuously seek out ways to improve how the team uses technology – testing new AI workflows, recommending tool adoption, and sharing best practices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2–4 years of experience in sales operations, business analytics, or a related role
Proficiency in PowerBI and Excel
Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in a professional context
Strong written communication skills — ability to craft crisp, audience-appropriate messaging
Comfort working with large datasets and translating them into clear narratives
Highly organized with an eye for process improvement and repeatability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting both corporate and franchise owned locations
Familiarity with prompt engineering or building AI-assisted workflows and templates
Exposure to CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Experience creating training materials, SOPs, or field communications at scale
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Communications, or a related field
