We’re looking for a Paid Media Strategy Specialist to join our growing team and help shape campaigns that make an impact across multiple brands, including Rent-A-Center, Acima, Get It Now! and Home Choice.
In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel paid media campaigns. You will work closely with strategy, creative, and analytics teams to bring campaigns to life through digital, social and traditional media environments. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing paid media strategies that align with brand objectives, target audience insights, and budget allocations.
- Collaborate with external agencies and the Director, Media and Influencers to craft strategies across various channels, including paid social, online advertising, online video, online radio, paid search, influencers, as well as broadcast plans for both traditional and connected media.
- Open jobs with internal creative services or external creative agency that prioritize messaging, imagery, and ad goals. Proof creative and route for internal approvals, including Legal when necessary.
- Work with each franchise group to attain alignment in national promotions and sales event. Ensure channel leads, web team and agency partners are aligned to ensure appropriate media, web and POS functionality are in place for participating franchisees.
- Develop, manage and maintain local marketing tools to support the needs of our franchise community (ex. Social media).
- Partner with outside agency for franchisee social and media support.
- Support ad-hoc franchise marketing requests and management of local store marketing platform. This includes strategic, creative and messaging approval.
- Work within marketing shared services and help support multiple Rent-To-Own (RTO) and Lease-To-Own (LTO) brands by building, implementing, and actively managing large-scale paid social (TikTok) campaigns to increase new customer acquisition and drive retention.
- Monitor live paid social campaigns (TikTok) to ensure proper pacing, delivery, and performance – making recommendations for optimizations.
- Collaborate with AOR on large-scale paid search campaigns to create, approve, and manage ad copy translations.
- Partner with analytics teams to QC and interpret performance data and contribute to campaign reporting in order to maximize marketing effectiveness to successfully set and meet campaign KPIs.
- Support Directors with managing testing schedules and optimizations.
- Draft creative overviews that are shared with Rent-A-Center stores and corporate Social Care team outlining upcoming promotions and media support.
- Stay up to date on paid media trends and innovations, researching and developing POVs as needed.
- Support Director in preparing presentations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in paid media planning, buying or strategy – preferably in a retail or agency setting. Experience working with multi-brand environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with key digital platforms and Ad Managers (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, DSPs).
- You have a customer service or client-facing mindset and can navigate challenges with confidence, empathy and a persuasive, solution-oriented approach
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or Power BI for data tracking and reporting. Working knowledge of tracking methodologies, such as UTM parameters and pixels a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
- You are highly motivated, a brilliant communicator and a resourceful problem-solver with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and resourcefulness to help meet ambitious growth goals
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred, but not required.
