Marketing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE: Assist and coordinate initiatives related to 1:1 Rent-A-Center marketing campaigns, primarily via the Email, Direct Mail, Push and SMS channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement end-to-end email, direct mail, push, and SMS marketing campaigns including calendar and content, audience targeting, and deployment and monitoring

  • Ensure campaigns, are accurately produced and delivered on a timely basis

  • Coordinate projects as directed by Marketing leadership. Provide deliverables on time and on budget

  • Open and track jobs with internal design, CRM teams and agencies

  • Work collaboratively to execute programs and initiatives

  • Obtain legal review and approval of offer-based programs. Ensure digital initiatives are versioned appropriately with legal restrictions and requirements 

  • Process and track project invoices

  • Coordinate communication of new campaigns to key stakeholders – including both ad hoc promotional campaigns and new lifecycle triggers

  • Add value by evaluating, recommending and supporting testing of new programs and process enhancements

  • Monitor competitors and provide recommendations and insight

  • Additional duties as assigned, including support programs of other Rent-A-Center, Inc brands

  • Learn and grow in your digital marketing expertise, and become a leader in your functional area and beyond

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Fintech or retail store-based marketing experience strongly preferred

  • Two to three years of experience in Digital Advertisting and/or Marketing including project coordination

  • Email campaign management (Zeta, Salesforce, SendGrid/Twilio, CheetahMail, Sparkpost, etc.) experience a must

  • Experience with Asana or similar project management software

  • Experience with marketing automation and personalization platform, such as Zeta, preferred

  • Experience working with content and creative teams including design and copywriting functions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Teams experience a plus)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail; meets deadlines or elevates obstacles in a timely manner

  • Provide solutions; results-oriented
