HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Onsite in Plano, TX
Job Purpose: The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing support in planning and administering all human resources activities for the Field Support Center (FSC). The HR Business Partner is responsible for implementing HR policies and programs and managing all aspects of employee relations. Together with the VP, they will create and execute aspects of the HR function by implementing and leading HR strategies, initiatives, and programs that effectively support the company’s mission and core values. Areas of focus include performance management, coworker engagement, talent management, learning & development and coworker relations.
Key Responsibilities:
HRBP for 1-2 client groups and will be their dedicated partner for all HR programs, talent assessments, coaching and consultation.
Partners with the VP on all people programs, to include Performance Management, Annual Coworker Engagement Survey, Upbound Recognition Program, Learning & Development (all facets of the employee life cycle) and will provide consultation to managers.
Partners with the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to administer HR programs that advance and impact the coworker life cycle.
Assists, supports, and communicates policies and procedures. Manage risk and ensure legal compliance by keeping current with the regulatory environment and ensuring that all publicly posted notices at headquarters are current.
Facilitates resolution of coworker concerns, such as policy interpretation, code of conduct issues, workplace concerns and manager – coworker conflicts.
Partner with the Coworker Relations team regarding investigations and resolution of ongoing employee relations problems or complaints. Develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution as needed.
Facilitates and manages all the coworker data changes in Workday across our client groups.
Identifies and implements HR industry best practices and operating efficiencies to Upbound HR programs and practices.
Leads and manages the company’s recognition platform, Upbound Applause and the recognition program – Elevate Excellence.
Conducts all exit interviews across our client groups and provides analysis to the VP at the FSC.
Exemplifies the desired serving culture and philosophies of the company and acts as a role model for others, embodying the Company’s mission and core values.
Works to continually improve all internal employment and employee relations processes, policies and practices to achieve a best-in-class human resources offering to all internal customers.
Leads the HR engagement committee and partners with FSC event planning team ensuring alignment where applicable.
Responds to all incoming items in the FSC HR email box and point of contact for FSC coworkers.
Project management experience and deep MS excel skills a plus, as the incumbent will be responsible for reporting relative to the HR programs that we lead and manage.
Performs additional projects/duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
5-7 years of Human Resources experience required – a focus on employment and/or employee relations experience desired.
Strong knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply policies and laws – employee handbook experience a plus.
Relevant experience with Workday a plus.
Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management, attention to detail and leadership skills.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
