Digital Merchandising Specialist (Online Merchandiser)
Job Purpose:
The Content Merchandising Specialist will partner with the Site Merchandising Manager and is responsible for analyzing key drivers and the performance of assigned categories for Upbound brands. This role collaborates closely with the Merchandising, Marketing, and cross-functional partners to optimize our websites, marketing campaigns, product assortment, promotions, and profitability.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for reviewing websites to ensure accurate product setup within designated time frames, including proper naming conventions, product attributes, categorization, keywords, and SEO support
- Manage and maintain product, category, navigation, and taxonomy structures across multiple websites
- Ensure accurate and timely product updates, including descriptions, SEO, and categorization
- Identify and escalate content or functionality issues, ensuring a seamless customer experience
- Update marketing assets, legal content, and images in accordance with campaign calendars
- Own the promotion code process for the websites by coordinating cross functional teams to ensure that codes are built, tested, and ready to launch by campaign dates
- Review monthly site content and marketing campaigns, providing links to enhance customer journey and improve conversion rates
- Collaborate closely with agency partners by attending meetings, tracking project progress, and providing timely follow-ups
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new site enhancements to ensure functionality and accuracy
- Conduct regular competitive benchmarking and provide insights into new strategy and testing ideas

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in digital Merchandising, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years eCommerce Merchandising/Content Management experience with a multi-channel retailer
- Understanding of site merchandising and content management best practices and understanding trends within retail space
- Experience with eCommerce platforms, Salesforce B2B Commerce, and Google Analytics preferred
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail who can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrates the ability to think critically, solve problems, and be constantly self-motivated
- Efficiently manages time by identifying and prioritizing high-impact business initiatives and tasks to meet deadlines
- Fosters teamwork across departments and taking a leadership role when necessary
- Embraces change with resilience, determination, and a strong drive for success
- Must understand product copyrighting principles and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and whiteboarding tools like Miro
- Basic HTML knowledge
- This position is required to work in office (Plano, TX) Monday through Friday.
