Compensation Analyst – On-site in Plano, TX
The Compensation Analyst supports the design, development, and administration of Upbound’s compensation programs. The role works with HRBPs to address compensation issues and closely with VP, Total Rewards to ensure compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives and to support the Compensation Committee. The role reports to the VP, Total Rewards.
The Compensation Analyst’s job responsibilities include:
- Executive and Corporate Compensation Programs: Ensure compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives; and assist in the preparation of Compensation Committee materials and annual proxy statement compensation tables and disclosures
- Bonus Program Administration: Calculate and administer annual bonus payouts and prepare quarterly accruals
- Client Group Support: Support salary survey participation and annual merit cycle and partner with HRBPs to provide guidance on compensation-related matters (e.g., new job evaluations, reclassifications, salary grade assignments and FLSA exemption status determinations)
- Stock Plan Administration: Prepare stock-based compensation grants, vesting, exercises, dividend payouts, and SEC filings (Forms 3, 4, 5). Assist with stock plan audits and reporting
- Project Support: Manage vendor relationships and complete ad hoc analysis and special projects and identify process improvement opportunities and document procedures.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent required
- 4-7 years of compensation experience, executive compensation experience preferred
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; Workday experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
